Status and Distribution of the Black Kite in Portugal
The Black Kite is a breeding and migratory bird species in continental Portugal. The Black Kite is present throughout most the territory, being particulary abundant in Baixo Mondego and Alentejo.

On our land the Black Kite is a summer bird species, as we have spotted in only between March and July so far. We have no idea if it breeds in our area or not.
